For the word of God {is} quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and {is} a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper {in the thing} whereto I sent it.

I the LORD search the heart, {I} try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, {and} according to the fruit of his doings.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
{Let} the high {praises} of God {be} in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; {mouth: Heb. throat}
And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. {reproved: or, discovered}
Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or {one} unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:
Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which {sword} proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of {their} conversation. {have the rule: or, are the guides}
Gird thy sword upon {thy} thigh, O {most} mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.
And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and {I pray God} your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword.
But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. {dishonesty: Gr. shame}

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man.
Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?
If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider {it}? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth {not} he know {it}? and shall {not} he render to {every} man according to his works?

And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:
And Solomon told her all her questions: there was not {any} thing hid from the king, which he told her not. {questions: Heb. words}
I have seen an end of all perfection: {but} thy commandment {is} exceeding broad.
For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
