For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. {guilty...: or, subject to the judgment of God}
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Did not Moses give you the law, and {yet} none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?
But if the ministration of death, written {and} engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which {glory} was to be done away:
And Moses verily {was} faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed {is} every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into {his} lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and {out of} the prophets, from morning till evening.
For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
For {it is} not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them. {keep...: Heb. keep to do them}
And this I say, {that} the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of {his} mercy;
And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four {and} twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. {odours: or, incense}
Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises {made} unto the fathers:
This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and {with} our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:
Blessed {be} the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,
Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed {each other}.
Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is {one} that accuseth you, {even} Moses, in whom ye trust.
And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, {now} no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David. {mercies: Gr. holy, or just things: which word the Septuagint in many places, uses for that which is in the Hebrew, mercies}
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
And God spake all these words, saying,
Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, {and} the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.
Moses commanded us a law, {even} the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob.
He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
And this {is} the law which Moses set before the children of Israel:
For all the promises of God in him {are} yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
We know that God spake unto Moses: {as for} this {fellow}, we know not from whence he is.

For Christ {is} the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous {are} thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true {are} thy ways, thou King of saints. {saints: or, nations, or, ages}
The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
In whom ye also {trusted}, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Did not Moses give you the law, and {yet} none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?
All the paths of the LORD {are} mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
Justice and judgment {are} the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face. {habitation: or, establishment}
Faithful {is} he that calleth you, who also will do {it}.
I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
He shall send from heaven, and save me {from} the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth. {from the...: or, he reproacheth him that}
And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,

How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?
Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth {shall be} to them that devise good.
That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.
And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.
And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:
Who are Israelites; to whom {pertaineth} the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service {of God}, and the promises; {covenants: or, testaments}
And like unto him was there no king before him, that turned to the LORD with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there {any} like him.
And this I say, {that} the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. {ground: or, stay}
{He is} the Rock, his work {is} perfect: for all his ways {are} judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right {is} he.
Whereas thou camest {but} yesterday, should I this day make thee go up and down with us? seeing I go whither I may, return thou, and take back thy brethren: mercy and truth {be} with thee. {go up...: Heb. wander in going}
This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.
And this {is} the law which Moses set before the children of Israel:
And he said, Blessed {be} the LORD God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I {being} in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master's brethren.

But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him: for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

And Moses wrote this law, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and unto all the elders of Israel.

And madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant:
They clave to their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God's law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes; {by: Heb. by the hand of}
And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness {and} righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things. {ride...: Heb. prosper thou, ride thou}
These {are} the commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount Sinai.
Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and {against} God.
And the LORD called unto Moses, and spake unto him out of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,
Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:
The princes digged the well, the nobles of the people digged it, by {the direction of} the lawgiver, with their staves. And from the wilderness {they went} to Mattanah:
These {are} the statutes and judgments and laws, which the LORD made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.
For all the promises of God in him {are} yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
And the LORD said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto the LORD, lest he break forth upon them.
But thou, O Lord, {art} a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope {did}; by the which we draw nigh unto God. {the bringing...: or, it was the bringing in}
And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.
I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.
And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the LORD hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it.
And the LORD said unto him, This {is} the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see {it} with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
