Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand {for} the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; and I am afraid of thy judgments.
If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD;
Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise {men} of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, {there is} none like unto thee. {to...: or, it liketh thee}
He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.
And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for {thou} only {art} holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.
{It is} he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD {is} his name. {stories: or, spheres: Heb. ascensions} {troop: or, bundle}
The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth {between} the cherubims; let the earth be moved. {be moved: Heb. stagger}
He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.
Wherefore, when I came, {was there} no man? when I called, {was there} none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because {there is} no water, and dieth for thirst.
The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves.
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he {is} the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom {that} which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion {shall be even} unto the end.
Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.

In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. {windows: or, floodgates}

And he went and found his carcase cast in the way, and the ass and the lion standing by the carcase: the lion had not eaten the carcase, nor torn the ass. {torn: Heb. broken}
At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his place.
Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.
The LORD on high {is} mightier than the noise of many waters, {yea, than} the mighty waves of the sea.
For the LORD {is} great, and greatly to be praised: he {is} to be feared above all gods.
As {when} the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, {that} the nations may tremble at thy presence! {the melting...: Heb. the fire of meltings}
Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.
He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.

Shall not his excellency make you afraid? and his dread fall upon you?
But David could not go before it to enquire of God: for he was afraid because of the sword of the angel of the LORD.
Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
And when it was day, the magistrates sent the serjeants, saying, Let those men go.
Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.
And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that {it is} an evil {thing} and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, and that my fear {is} not in thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.
For great {is} the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also {is} to be feared above all gods.
