Isa 50:2
Wherefore, when I came, {was there} no man? when I called, {was there} none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because {there is} no water, and dieth for thirst.

Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose {that} in which I delighted not. {delusions: or, devices}
And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD'S hand waxed short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not.
That the waters which came down from above stood {and} rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that {is} beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, {even} the salt sea, failed, {and} were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho.
Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.
Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go {back} by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry {land}, and the waters were divided.

He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.
Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;
And he saw that {there was} no man, and wondered that {there was} no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.
He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
And the fish that {is} in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall lothe to drink of the water of the river.
I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending {them}, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.
Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort. {I make...: Chaldee, a decree is made by me} {any...: Chaldee, error} {cut...: Chaldee, made pieces}

And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
{As} they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto Baalim, and burned incense to graven images.
Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; {well}: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who {is} that God that shall deliver you out of my hands? {dulcimer: or, singing: Chaldee, symphony}
And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: {and} the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?
But the children of Israel walked upon dry {land} in the midst of the sea; and the waters {were} a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.
Who {are they} among all the gods of these lands, that have delivered their land out of my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?
Now therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor persuade you on this manner, neither yet believe him: for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of mine hand, and out of the hand of my fathers: how much less shall your God deliver you out of mine hand?
He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;
The sea saw {it}, and fled: Jordan was driven back.
He rebuked the Red sea also, and it was dried up: so he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.
And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up.
{Art} thou not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?
That led them through the deep, as an horse in the wilderness, {that} they should not stumble?
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
For I beheld, and {there was} no man; even among them, and {there was} no counsellor, that, when I asked of them, could answer a word. {answer: Heb. return}
Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be {any} that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it.
I hearkened and heard, {but} they spake not aright: no man repented him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turned to his course, as the horse rusheth into the battle.
He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions. {power: Chaldee, hand}
And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the LORD, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not;

I opened to my beloved; but my beloved had withdrawn himself, {and} was gone: my soul failed when he spake: I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer.
And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.
