The LORD {is} good unto them that wait for him, to the soul {that} seeketh him.

Behold, as the eyes of servants {look} unto the hand of their masters, {and} as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes {wait} upon the LORD our God, until that he have mercy upon us.
For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,
My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation {is} from him.
My help {cometh} from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good?
But the salvation of the righteous {is} of the LORD: {he is} their strength in the time of trouble.
Moreover David and the captains of the host separated to the service of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of the workmen according to their service was:
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD {is} a God of judgment: blessed {are} all they that wait for him.

Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou {art} the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Truly in vain {is salvation hoped for} from the hills, {and from} the multitude of mountains: truly in the LORD our God {is} the salvation of Israel.

And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the LORD, because his mercy {endureth} for ever;

Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this {is} our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this {is} the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation {is} from him.
O LORD, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.
If it be {so}, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver {us} out of thine hand, O king.
For since the beginning of the world {men} have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, {what} he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him. {seen...: or, seen a God beside thee, which doeth so for him, etc}
And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God. {grieved: Heb. bitter}
I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done {it}: and I will wait on thy name; for {it is} good before thy saints.

Then said David, Will the men of Keilah deliver me and my men into the hand of Saul? And the LORD said, They will deliver {thee} up. {deliver: Heb. shut up}
But if we hope for that we see not, {then} do we with patience wait for {it}.
I have waited for thy salvation, O LORD.
Give us help from trouble: for vain {is} the help of man. {help of man: Heb. salvation, etc}
For the LORD {is} our defence; and the Holy One of Israel {is} our king. {the LORD...: or, our shield is of the LORD, and our king is of the Holy One of Israel}
And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up unto the house of the LORD, and spread it before the LORD.
Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination {is} to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, {even} all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.
Also the Levites {which were} the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, {being} arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:)
Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he {is} our help and our shield.
