It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers {were} as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up {their} voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, {saying}, For {he is} good; for his mercy {endureth} for ever: that {then} the house was filled with a cloud, {even} the house of the LORD;
Moreover David and the captains of the host separated to the service of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of the workmen according to their service was:
And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the LORD, {saying}, For {he is} good; for his mercy {endureth} for ever.
And these {are} they that waited with their children. Of the sons of the Kohathites: Heman a singer, the son of Joel, the son of Shemuel, {waited: Heb. stood}
And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy {endureth} for ever. {that...: Heb. praisers}
And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because {he is} good, for his mercy {endureth} for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.
And Moses and Aaron took these men which are expressed by {their} names:
O give thanks unto the LORD; for {he is} good; for his mercy {endureth} for ever.
But the mercy of the LORD {is} from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;
So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every day's work required:
And his mercy {is} on them that fear him from generation to generation.

Also the Levites {which were} the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, {being} arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:)

Of Heman: the sons of Heman; Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamtiezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, {and} Mahazioth: {Uzziel: also called, Azareel} {Shebuel: also called, Shubael}
And the men did the work faithfully: and the overseers of them {were} Jahath and Obadiah, the Levites, of the sons of Merari; and Zechariah and Meshullam, of the sons of the Kohathites, to set {it} forward; and {other of} the Levites, all that could skill of instruments of musick.
