For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:
But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous {are they}, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. {government: or, dominion}
Unto the pure all things {are} pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving {is} nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
As free, and not using {your} liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. {using: Gr. having}
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
For when they speak great swelling {words} of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, {through much} wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. {clean: or, for a little, or, a while, as some read}
And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, {even to them} which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth {person}, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
Blessed {is} the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. {ungodly: or, wicked}
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, {hath...: or, to all men, hath appeared}
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only {use} not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.
And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, {Ye must} be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no {such} commandment:
To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard {speeches} which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for {thou} only {art} holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.
Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me afraid; {waves: or, pangs} {ungodly...: Heb. Belial}
Which in his times he shall shew, {who is} the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

They profess that they know God; but in works they deny {him}, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. {reprobate: or, void of judgment}
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!
And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

For some are already turned aside after Satan.
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. {in due time: or, according to the time}
And of some have compassion, making a difference:
For such {are} false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ. {corrupt: or, deal deceitfully with} {in Christ: or, of Christ}
If we suffer, we shall also reign with {him}: if we deny {him}, he also will deny us:
Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
For the time past of {our} life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
Thus shall ye separate the children of Israel from their uncleanness; that they die not in their uncleanness, when they defile my tabernacle that {is} among them.

Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth {it} empty, swept, and garnished.
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
He spake of Judas Iscariot {the son} of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.
But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
Therefore {it is} no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.
And in very deed for this {cause} have I raised thee up, for to shew {in} thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth. {raised...: Heb. made thee stand}
And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
As also in all {his} epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as {they do} also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.
But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. {house: or, kindred}

Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
And not {rather}, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.
And she hath changed my judgments into wickedness more than the nations, and my statutes more than the countries that {are} round about her: for they have refused my judgments and my statutes, they have not walked in them.
Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
This also {were} an iniquity {to be punished by} the judge: for I should have denied the God {that is} above.
Whose end {is} destruction, whose God {is their} belly, and {whose} glory {is} in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
