Whom hast thou reproached and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted {thy} voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? {even} against the Holy One of Israel.

So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not {let them} pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I {am} the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.
And he shall speak {great} words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I {am} God? but thou {shalt be} a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee. {of him that slayeth: or, of him that woundeth}
Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, {and} shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.
For I {am} the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt {for} thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.

For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done {it}, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant {man}: {a valiant...: or, many people}
Who {is} like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who {is} like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful {in} praises, doing wonders? {gods: or, mighty ones?}
Fear not, thou worm Jacob, {and} ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. {men: or, few men}
Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry {is} in the ships. {nobles: Heb. bars}
Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.
{There is} a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.
The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken {so much} against thee?
Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.
And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day;
Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; {well}: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who {is} that God that shall deliver you out of my hands? {dulcimer: or, singing: Chaldee, symphony}
Yea, he magnified {himself} even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily {sacrifice} was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. {to: or, against} {by him: or, from him}
Call together the archers against Babylon: all ye that bend the bow, camp against it round about; let none thereof escape: recompense her according to her work; according to all that she hath done, do unto her: for she hath been proud against the LORD, against the Holy One of Israel.
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and blesseth the covetous, {whom} the LORD abhorreth. {heart's: Heb. soul's} {blesseth...: or, the covetous blesseth himself, he abhorreth the LORD}
For they speak against thee wickedly, {and} thine enemies take {thy name} in vain.
Who {are they} among all the gods of these lands, that have delivered their land out of my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?
But the soul that doeth {ought} presumptuously, {whether he be} born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people. {presumptuously: Heb. with an high hand}
And Moab shall be destroyed from {being} a people, because he hath magnified {himself} against the LORD.

Her filthiness {is} in her skirts; she remembereth not her last end; therefore she came down wonderfully: she had no comforter. O LORD, behold my affliction: for the enemy hath magnified {himself}.
Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard {them}. {boasted: Heb. magnified}
And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled:
Then was Abner very wroth for the words of Ishbosheth, and said, {Am} I a dog's head, which against Judah do shew kindness this day unto the house of Saul thy father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and have not delivered thee into the hand of David, that thou chargest me to day with a fault concerning this woman?
And the afflicted people thou wilt save: but thine eyes {are} upon the haughty, {that} thou mayest bring {them} down.
Who {are} they among all the gods of the countries, that have delivered their country out of mine hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of mine hand?

Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. {laden: Heb. of heaviness} {gone...: Heb. alienated, or, separated}

Ye shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath, {as} fire, shall devour you.
Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us: this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.
And in the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown them that rose up against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, {which} consumed them as stubble.
