Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart {is} lifted up, and thou hast said, I {am} a God, I sit {in} the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou {art} a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God: {midst: Heb. heart}

And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him. {glorious...: or, goodly, etc.: Heb. mountain of delight of holiness}
I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn {were} eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.
For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant {land}.

And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.

Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you.

Therefore hear now this, {thou that art} given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I {am}, and none else beside me; I shall not sit {as} a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:
Make ye him drunken: for he magnified {himself} against the LORD: Moab also shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision.
And Moab shall be destroyed from {being} a people, because he hath magnified {himself} against the LORD.

Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, {proud: or, a fool} {doting: or, sick}
And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
Yea, he magnified {himself} even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily {sacrifice} was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. {to: or, against} {by him: or, from him}
Behold, his soul {which} is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
