{There are} many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times {the things} that are not {yet} done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
But he {is} in one {mind}, and who can turn him? and {what} his soul desireth, even {that} he doeth.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. {expected...: Heb. end and expectation}
For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.
Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
The LORD hath sworn by the excellency of Jacob, Surely I will never forget any of their works.

Who {is} he {that} saith, and it cometh to pass, {when} the Lord commandeth {it} not?

The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou {art} a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.
{There is} no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.
For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect. {bringeth: Heb. maketh frustrate}
For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation {is} to them an end of all strife.
Therefore hear ye the word of the LORD, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith the LORD, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord GOD liveth.

And all the inhabitants of the earth {are} reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and {among} the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?
According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
And the land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that maketh mention thereof shall be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the LORD of hosts, which he hath determined against it.
And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; {it is} because the thing {is} established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass. {established...: or, prepared of God}

Solomon sought therefore to kill Jeroboam. And Jeroboam arose, and fled into Egypt, unto Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until the death of Solomon.
The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have done {it}, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.
Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or theirs. {mine...: Heb. from me, or, from them}

The LORD of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, {and} to bring into contempt all the honourable of the earth. {to stain: Heb. to pollute}
This {is} the interpretation, O king, and this {is} the decree of the most High, which is come upon my lord the king:
Where {are} they? where {are} thy wise {men}? and let them tell thee now, and let them know what the LORD of hosts hath purposed upon Egypt.
For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.
And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, {even} all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.
For thus saith the LORD of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the LORD of hosts, and I repented not:
Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire.
And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ye shall certainly drink.
Wherefore it shall come to pass, {that} when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks. {punish: Heb. visit upon} {stout...: Heb. greatness of the heart}
For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken {it}, I have purposed {it}, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.
