And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

But as the days of Noe {were}, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth {person}, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
These {are} the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man {and} perfect in his generations, {and} Noah walked with God. {perfect: or, upright}
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. {moved...: or, being wary}
Say ye to the righteous, that {it shall be} well {with him}: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;
Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. {set a mark: Heb. mark a mark}
And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
In the fear of the LORD {is} strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, {even} as many as the Lord our God shall call.
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. {abide: Heb. lodge}
And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD'S anger.
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; {harmless: or, sincere} {ye shine: or, shine ye}
Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.
Blessings {are} upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
Behold, the eye of the LORD {is} upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.
He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.
He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.
The name of the LORD {is} a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. {safe: Heb. set aloft}
Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.
For {God} giveth to a man that {is} good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to {him that is} good before God. This also {is} vanity and vexation of spirit. {in his...: Heb. before him}
And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver {but} their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD.
And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring {them} out of this place:
