Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver {but} their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD.

Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, {yet} my mind {could} not {be} toward this people: cast {them} out of my sight, and let them go forth.
Though Noah, Daniel, and Job, {were} in it, {as} I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall {but} deliver their own souls by their righteousness.
Behold, thou {art} wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee:
And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name {was} Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.
Though these three men {were} in it, {as} I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only shall be delivered themselves.
And it was so, when the days of {their} feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings {according} to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually. {continually: Heb. all the days}
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. {moved...: or, being wary}
And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling. {greatly...: Heb. of desires} {upright: Heb. upon thy standing}
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
{Though} these three men {were} in it, {as} I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters; they only shall be delivered, but the land shall be desolate. {in it: Heb. in the midst of it}
Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you {after your} folly, in that ye have not spoken of me {the thing which is} right, like my servant Job. {him: Heb. his face, or, person}
Then said the LORD unto me, Pray not for this people for {their} good.
Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear {them} in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble. {trouble: Heb. evil}
The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.
Yea, whiles I {was} speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation. {swiftly: Heb. with weariness, or, flight}
Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.
And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
Now among these were of the children of Judah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah:

Now Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died. And Joash the king of Israel came down unto him, and wept over his face, and said, O my father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof.
But the wise answered, saying, {Not so}; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
But if they {be} prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and {in} the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.
And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained {alive}, and they that {were} with him in the ark.
