After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I {am} thy shield, {and} thy exceeding great reward.

Fear thou not; for I {am} with thee: be not dismayed; for I {am} thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Thou {art} my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here {am} I.

And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness {shall be} a sure reward.

Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;

Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.
And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.

Afterwards the spirit took me up, and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of the captivity. So the vision that I had seen went up from me.
And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do {it}: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, {even} my God, {will be} with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth {month}, in the fifth {day} of the month, as I {was} among the captives by the river of Chebar, {that} the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God. {captives: Heb. captivity}
And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared {it}? ye {are} even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, {there is} no God; I know not {any}. {God; I: Heb. rock, etc}
And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, {I} the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, {and} will speak unto him in a dream.
Fear thou not; for I {am} with thee: be not dismayed; for I {am} thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
So that we may boldly say, The Lord {is} my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
What shall we then say to these things? If God {be} for us, who {can be} against us?

Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.

But without faith {it is} impossible to please {him}: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and {that} he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding {and} eternal weight of glory;

And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here {am} I.

And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this {shall be} a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.
Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.
And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, {I} the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, {and} will speak unto him in a dream.
And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I {am} the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;

Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah {that} bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.

And the LORD appeared again in Shiloh: for the LORD revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the LORD.

And he said, I {am} God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation:
And they shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we beseech thee, three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.
He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling {into a trance}, but having his eyes open:
Therefore now let your hands be strengthened, and be ye valiant: for your master Saul is dead, and also the house of Judah have anointed me king over them. {be ye...: Heb. be ye the sons of valour}
Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy gentleness hath made me great. {made...: Heb. multiplied me}
