And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
For to me to live {is} Christ, and to die {is} gain.
For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
For though I be free from all {men}, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
Who then is Paul, and who {is} Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I {am} thy shield, {and} thy exceeding great reward.
O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for {there is} no want to them that fear him.
For to me to live {is} Christ, and to die {is} gain.
And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.
And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. {jewels: or, special treasure}
And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days. {shall...: or, hath not been}
And if ye {be} Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with {him}, that we may be also glorified together.
There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.
For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
And Simon he surnamed Peter;
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
As touching {our} brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time.
I am become a fool in glorying; ye have compelled me: for I ought to have been commended of you: for in nothing am I behind the very chiefest apostles, though I be nothing.
He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.
That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; {even} in him: {heaven: Gr. the heavens}
And Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him.
For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. {little: or, for a little time}
