But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, {and} easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. {partiality: or, wrangling}
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice?

If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as {for} hid treasures;

But where shall wisdom be found? and where {is} the place of understanding?

For Job hath said, I am righteous: and God hath taken away my judgment.

Whence then cometh wisdom? and where {is} the place of understanding?
What shall we say then? {Is there} unrighteousness with God? God forbid.
The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon {is} here.
God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness:
My words {shall be of} the uprightness of my heart: and my lips shall utter knowledge clearly.
But none saith, Where {is} God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;
