None {of them} can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:
He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword. {from perishing: Heb. from passing}
Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
