Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.

And you {hath he quickened}, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be favourable no more?
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;
And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, {even} all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be builded:
At the same time, saith the LORD, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.
But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.
The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which {was} full of bones,

Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.

And the children of Israel spake unto Moses, saying, Behold, we die, we perish, we all perish.
Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great {shall be} the day of Jezreel.
Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which {is} in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, {even} with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.

And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God?
For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This {is} the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. {might: or, army}
Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.
Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare {that} I will render double unto thee;
And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
What mean ye, that ye use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge?

And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared, and no small tempest lay on {us}, all hope that we should be saved was then taken away.
And fields shall be bought in this land, whereof ye say, {It is} desolate without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.
Thus saith the LORD; Again there shall be heard in this place, which ye say {shall be} desolate without man and without beast, {even} in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,
And it shall come to pass, {that} as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, {but} let your hands be strong.

Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins {be} upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live?

And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his evil heart.
And their dead bodies {shall lie} in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
But some {man} will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake {it}, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
