Then Peter and the {other} apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive.
I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.
For this {is} good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
And Micaiah said, {As} the LORD liveth, what the LORD saith unto me, that will I speak.
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
Ephraim {is} oppressed {and} broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after the commandment.

Also in Judah the hand of God was to give them one heart to do the commandment of the king and of the princes, by the word of the LORD.
Hear ye, and give ear; be not proud: for the LORD hath spoken.
Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
And the king said unto the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD; because their hand also {is} with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not shew it to me. For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples {unto them}, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.
