For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
{Which is} a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
{It is} a faithful saying: For if we be dead with {him}, we shall also live with {him}:
Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart {is} my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
Blessed {are} they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with {him}, that we may be also glorified together.

They which builded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, {every one} with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other {hand} held a weapon.
And he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead {him} away safely.
