That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.

If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord.

And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. {first estate: or, principality}
And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin. {be condemned: Heb. go out guilty, or, wicked}
The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.
Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.
For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take. {bishoprick: or, office, or, charge}
But I keep under my body, and bring {it} into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
He, that being often reproved hardeneth {his} neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. {He...: Heb. A man of reproofs}
Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
