And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty {and} four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.
And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred {and} forty {and} four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Unto which {promise} our twelve tribes, instantly serving {God} day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews. {day and night: Gr. night and day}
And the gates of the city {shall be} after the names of the tribes of Israel: three gates northward; one gate of Reuben, one gate of Judah, one gate of Levi.

Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:
Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room.
And it came to pass, when Israel dwelt in that land, that Reuben went and lay with Bilhah his father's concubine: and Israel heard {it}. Now the sons of Jacob were twelve:

Notwithstanding the land shall be divided by lot: according to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit.

And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred {and} forty {and} four cubits, {according to} the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
