And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is {the book} of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things {done} in {his} body, according to that he hath done, whether {it be} good or bad.
For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.
For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether {it be} good, or whether {it be} evil.
And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward {is} with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
I the LORD search the heart, {I} try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, {and} according to the fruit of his doings.
And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. {destroy the earth: or, corrupt the earth}
But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation {even} to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. {hell: or, the grave}
And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither {whatsoever} worketh abomination, or {maketh} a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.
And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Also unto thee, O Lord, {belongeth} mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.
And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive {and} remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. {prevent: or, come before, or, anticipate, or, precede}
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider {it}? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth {not} he know {it}? and shall {not} he render to {every} man according to his works?
And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.
For since by man {came} death, by man {came} also the resurrection of the dead.
Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes {are} open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings: {work: Heb. doing}
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and {with} other my fellowlabourers, whose names {are} in the book of life.
Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.
The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to the man according to his work.
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard {it}, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

Behold, {it is} written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom,
Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn {yourselves} from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin. {yourselves: or, others}
In the same hour came forth fingers of a man's hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king's palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.
And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.

And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I {am} the Lord GOD. {assembly: or, secret, or, counsel}
Now {is} the end {come} upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations. {recompense: Heb. give}
Ye stand this day all of you before the LORD your God; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, {with} all the men of Israel,
I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld {even} till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.
According to {their} deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence. {deeds: Heb. recompences}
If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider {it}? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth {not} he know {it}? and shall {not} he render to {every} man according to his works?
Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth {them} in the night, so that they are destroyed. {destroyed: Heb. crushed}
Shall {any} teach God knowledge? seeing he judgeth those that are high.
That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall blot {them} out with the bitter water:
When she {was} brought forth, she sent to her father in law, saying, By the man, whose these {are, am} I with child: and she said, Discern, I pray thee, whose {are} these, the signet, and bracelets, and staff.
{Is} not this laid up in store with me, {and} sealed up among my treasures?
Both the great and the small shall die in this land: they shall not be buried, neither shall {men} lament for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them:
Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:
