And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:
Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, {and} his people, {saying}, Where {is} he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? where {is} he that put his holy Spirit within him? {shepherd: or, shepherds}
But made his own people to go forth like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock.
And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:

This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send {to be} a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush.
And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.
Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people {which} thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided {them} in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.

Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.
And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.
These {are} the journeys of the children of Israel, which went forth out of the land of Egypt with their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron.
He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
These {are} that Aaron and Moses, to whom the LORD said, Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their armies.
These {are} they which spake to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the children of Israel from Egypt: these {are} that Moses and Aaron.
These {are} the statutes and judgments and laws, which the LORD made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.
Or {whether it were} two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining thereon, the children of Israel abode in their tents, and journeyed not: but when it was taken up, they journeyed.
These {were} the numbered of the children of Israel, six hundred thousand and a thousand seven hundred and thirty.
And what he did unto you in the wilderness, until ye came into this place;
He sent Moses his servant; {and} Aaron whom he had chosen.

And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, At even, then ye shall know that the LORD hath brought you out from the land of Egypt:

Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents {in}, in fire by night, to shew you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day.
Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, {even} for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah. {by...: Heb. making naked}
