O LORD my God, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;

Moreover, my father, see, yea, see the skirt of thy robe in my hand: for in that I cut off the skirt of thy robe, and killed thee not, know thou and see that {there is} neither evil nor transgression in mine hand, and I have not sinned against thee; yet thou huntest my soul to take it.
For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not {for} my transgression, nor {for} my sin, O LORD.
And he said, Wherefore doth my lord thus pursue after his servant? for what have I done? or what evil {is} in mine hand?
If iniquity {be} in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles.
The LORD God of gods, the LORD God of gods, he knoweth, and Israel he shall know; if {it be} in rebellion, or if in transgression against the LORD, (save us not this day,)
And thus said Shimei when he cursed, Come out, come out, thou bloody man, and thou man of Belial: {bloody...: Heb. man of blood}
And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast enquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?
Not for {any} injustice in mine hands: also my prayer {is} pure.
And David said to Saul, Wherefore hearest thou men's words, saying, Behold, David seeketh thy hurt?
Therefore thou shalt deal kindly with thy servant; for thou hast brought thy servant into a covenant of the LORD with thee: notwithstanding, if there be in me iniquity, slay me thyself; for why shouldest thou bring me to thy father?
If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear {me}:
That all of you have conspired against me, and {there is} none that sheweth me that my son hath made a league with the son of Jesse, and {there is} none of you that is sorry for me, or sheweth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day? {sheweth...: Heb. uncovereth mine ear}
And see if {there be any} wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. {wicked...: Heb. way of pain, or, grief}
Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, {then} have we confidence toward God.
And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God {is} judge himself. Selah.
For if I be an offender, or have committed any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die: but if there be none of these things whereof these accuse me, no man may deliver me unto them. I appeal unto Caesar.
Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: {but} I will meditate in thy precepts.
If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god;

The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
For without cause have they hid for me their net {in} a pit, {which} without cause they have digged for my soul.
For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not {for} my transgression, nor {for} my sin, O LORD.
They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, {being} mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored {that} which I took not away.
For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord. {know: or, I am not conscious of any fault}
For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.
With whomsoever of thy servants it be found, both let him die, and we also will be my lord's bondmen.

And David fled from Naioth in Ramah, and came and said before Jonathan, What have I done? what {is} mine iniquity? and what {is} my sin before thy father, that he seeketh my life?
O LORD, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke.
