BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed {thereto} according to thy word.

Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

MEM. O how love I thy law! it {is} my meditation all the day.
My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.
Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these {things} God will bring thee into judgment.

Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.

Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.
And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of {that which is} before the priests the Levites:
Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me. {There...: Heb. For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to possess the iniquities of my youth.
All scripture {is} given by inspiration of God, and {is} profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, {and} prepared unto every good work.
