Fear thou not; for I {am} with thee: be not dismayed; for I {am} thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

And Joshua said unto the people, Ye {are} witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen you the LORD, to serve him. And they said, {We are} witnesses.

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, {that} I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.

For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

I {am} thine, save me; for I have sought thy precepts.

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth {him with} his hand.

And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment; {long life: Heb. many days} {discern: Heb. hear}

Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness.

And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that {were} on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually.

Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they {are} the rejoicing of my heart.

But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid {before me}.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep {me} from evil, that it may not grieve me! O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!

Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
