If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all {men} liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? {understanding: Heb. hearing}

Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.

I {am} thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.

TAU. Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word.

Only the LORD give thee wisdom and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Israel, that thou mayest keep the law of the LORD thy God.

Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with {my} whole heart.

JOD. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall {your} heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
