This {is} the ordinance of the law which the LORD hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein {is} no blemish, {and} upon which never came yoke:

But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
Now therefore make a new cart, and take two milch kine, on which there hath come no yoke, and tie the kine to the cart, and bring their calves home from them:
Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

For such an high priest became us, {who is} holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

The yoke of my transgressions is bound by his hand: they are wreathed, {and} come up upon my neck: he hath made my strength to fall, the Lord hath delivered me into {their} hands, {from whom} I am not able to rise up.
And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

As for the living bird, he shall take it, and the cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird {that was} killed over the running water:
And the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast {it} into the midst of the burning of the heifer.
And Eleazar the priest said unto the men of war which went to the battle, This {is} the ordinance of the law which the LORD commanded Moses;
For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? {spot: or, fault}
And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.
And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is in the floor of the tabernacle the priest shall take, and put {it} into the water:
