And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I {am} the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?

And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush {was} not consumed.
Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
And he erected there an altar, and called it Elelohe-Israel. {Elelohe-Israel: that is God the God of Israel}
And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, the LORD which saidst unto me, Return unto thy country, and to thy kindred, and I will deal well with thee:
Except the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely thou hadst sent me away now empty. God hath seen mine affliction and the labour of my hands, and rebuked {thee} yesternight.
And the LORD appeared unto him the same night, and said, I {am} the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I {am} with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham's sake.
And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush.
But thou, Israel, {art} my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.
Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and {seen} that which is done to you in Egypt:
And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I {am} the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;
And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:
I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
But go ye and learn what {that} meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;
Moreover he said, I {am} the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.

And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and {for} the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let {the blessing} come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him {that was} separated from his brethren.
And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made {them} at the beginning made them male and female,
And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read so much as this, what David did, when himself was an hungred, and they which were with him;
And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:
And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him?
