So God created man in his {own} image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. And the LORD God said, {It is} not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. {meet...: Heb. as before him}
I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;
And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I {am} the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:
And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him?
Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read so much as this, what David did, when himself was an hungred, and they which were with him;
And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them,
