Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, {that they are} the enemies of the cross of Christ:
And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
But the cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven shall dwell in it: and he shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness. {cormorant: or, pelican}
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert.
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
