Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise {man} glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty {man} glory in his might, let not the rich {man} glory in his riches:
Woe unto {them that are} wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! {in their own sight: Heb. before their face}
But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
Know now that God hath overthrown me, and hath compassed me with his net.
Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power {at all} against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.
