Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.
Withdraw thine hand far from me: and let not thy dread make me afraid.
Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, {yet} judgment {is} before him; therefore trust thou in him.
Lay down now, put me in a surety with thee; who {is} he {that} will strike hands with me?
Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and holdest me for thine enemy?
Oh that I knew where I might find him! {that} I might come {even} to his seat!
Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book! {Oh...: Heb. Who will give, etc}
Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard: I cry aloud, but {there is} no judgment. {wrong: or, violence}

Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God.
[{A Psalm} of David.] Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; {therefore} I shall not slide.
Behold, he findeth occasions against me, he counteth me for his enemy,
I went mourning without the sun: I stood up, {and} I cried in the congregation.
Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.
He hath also kindled his wrath against me, and he counteth me unto him as {one of} his enemies.
Let mine enemy be as the wicked, and he that riseth up against me as the unrighteous.
I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. {tower: Heb. fenced place} {unto me: or, in me} {when...: or, when I am argued with: Heb. upon my reproof, or, arguing}
If {I speak} of strength, lo, {he is} strong: and if of judgment, who shall set me a time {to plead}?

Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day.

If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand.
And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall blot {them} out with the bitter water:
