What man {is} like Job, {who} drinketh up scorning like water?
For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, {and} hating one another.
What then? are we better {than they}? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; {proved: Gr. charged}
Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; {there is} none that doeth good, no, not one.
Wherefore I abhor {myself}, and repent in dust and ashes.
How much less {in} them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation {is} in the dust, {which} are crushed before the moth?
Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth, {though} he hide it under his tongue;

And even as they did not like to retain God in {their} knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; {to retain: or, to acknowledge} {a reprobate...: or, a mind void of judgment or, an unapproving mind}
They are all gone aside, they are {all} together become filthy: {there is} none that doeth good, no, not one. {filthy: Heb. stinking}
