And the king of Israel answered and said, Tell {him}, Let not him that girdeth on {his harness} boast himself as he that putteth it off.

And these {are} the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,
Shall I then take my bread, and my water, and my flesh that I have killed for my shearers, and give {it} unto men, whom I know not whence they {be}? {flesh: Heb. slaughter}
And he came unto the men of Succoth, and said, Behold Zebah and Zalmunna, with whom ye did upbraid me, saying, {Are} the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in thine hand, that we should give bread unto thy men {that are} weary?
And he brought out the people that {were} in it, and cut {them} with saws, and with harrows of iron, and with axes. Even so dealt David with all the cities of the children of Ammon. And David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.
