Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see {it}, and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me.
Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation {is} thy people.
Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above. {ask it...: or, make thy petition deep}
And Gideon said unto God, If thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said,
And this {shall be} a sign unto thee from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that he hath spoken;
And he said, Lord GOD, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it?
For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? {is it} not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that {are} upon the face of the earth.
And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee.
And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What {shall be} the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the LORD the third day?

And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: {let the same be} she {that} thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast shewed kindness unto my master.
And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this {shall be} a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.
