Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

They make the king glad with their wickedness, and the princes with their lies.
Their throat {is} an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps {is} under their lips:
Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand.

Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, {Is there} not a lie in my right hand?
And of whom hast thou been afraid or feared, that thou hast lied, and hast not remembered me, nor laid {it} to thy heart? have not I held my peace even of old, and thou fearest me not?

Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts {are} thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction {are} in their paths. {destruction: Heb. breaking}
In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit. {givest: Heb. sendest}
The instruments also of the churl {are} evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right. {the needy...: or, he speaketh against the poor in judgment}
