Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.
Whose graves are set in the sides of the pit, and her company is round about her grave: all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which caused terror in the land of the living. {terror: or, dismaying}
And the people gave a shout, {saying, It is} the voice of a god, and not of a man.

But those {that} seek my soul, to destroy {it}, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.
And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
They, and all that {appertained} to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.
