But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship {is} with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
And they that have believing masters, let them not despise {them}, because they are brethren; but rather do {them} service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort. {faithful: or, believing}
And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with {you}.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. {substance: or, ground, or, confidence}
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and {be} not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, {and} which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: {in: or, concerning}
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Let us hold fast the profession of {our} faith without wavering; (for he {is} faithful that promised;)
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, {then} are ye my disciples indeed;
Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in {his} goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
And ye shall be hated of all {men} for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
{It is} good that {a man} should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.
Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know {these things} before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
God {is} faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
Yea doubtless, and I count all things {but} loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them {but} dung, that I may win Christ,
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, {so} walk ye in him:

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
He that hath the Son hath life; {and} he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast {our} profession.

Then shall we know, {if} we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter {and} former rain unto the earth.
Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, {my} dearly beloved.
Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; {of good...: or, modest}
And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with {you}.

Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.
Because he should have remained in the city of his refuge until the death of the high priest: but after the death of the high priest the slayer shall return into the land of his possession.
And one kid of the goats {for} a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, his meat offering, and his drink offering.
And they that have believing masters, let them not despise {them}, because they are brethren; but rather do {them} service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort. {faithful: or, believing}
If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.
