Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I {am} against thee, O Tyrus, and will cause many nations to come up against thee, as the sea causeth his waves to come up.

The sea is come up upon Babylon: she is covered with the multitude of the waves thereof.
And in that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea: and if {one} look unto the land, behold darkness {and} sorrow, and the light is darkened in the heavens thereof. {sorrow: or, distress} {and the light...: or, when it is light, it shall be dark in the destructions thereof}
Now also many nations are gathered against thee, that say, Let her be defiled, and let our eye look upon Zion.
And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and lament over thee, {saying}, What {city is} like Tyrus, like the destroyed in the midst of the sea?
The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves.
They shall lay hold on bow and spear; they {are} cruel, and have no mercy; their voice roareth like the sea; and they ride upon horses, set in array as men for war against thee, O daughter of Zion.
Behold, I {am} against thee, O inhabitant of the valley, {and} rock of the plain, saith the LORD; which say, Who shall come down against us? or who shall enter into our habitations? {inhabitant: Heb. inhabitress}
And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I {am} against thee, O Zidon; and I will be glorified in the midst of thee: and they shall know that I {am} the LORD, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her.
For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof. {raiseth: Heb. maketh to stand}
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
The lion did tear in pieces enough for his whelps, and strangled for his lionesses, and filled his holes with prey, and his dens with ravin.
And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I {am} against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
Thy rowers have brought thee into great waters: the east wind hath broken thee in the midst of the seas. {midst: Heb. heart}
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, {am} against thee, and will execute judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations.
For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
And say to the land of Israel, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I {am} against thee, and will draw forth my sword out of his sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked.
They shall hold the bow and the lance: they {are} cruel, and will not shew mercy: their voice shall roar like the sea, and they shall ride upon horses, {every one} put in array, like a man to the battle, against thee, O daughter of Babylon.
Behold, I {am} against thee, {O thou} most proud, saith the Lord GOD of hosts: for thy day is come, the time {that} I will visit thee. {most...: Heb. pride}
For thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall make thee a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring up the deep upon thee, and great waters shall cover thee;
And say to the land of Israel, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I {am} against thee, and will draw forth my sword out of his sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked.
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I {am} against you, saith the Lord GOD.
For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people.
And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I {am} against thee, O Zidon; and I will be glorified in the midst of thee: and they shall know that I {am} the LORD, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her.
Behold, I {am} against thee, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.
Be thou ashamed, O Zidon: for the sea hath spoken, {even} the strength of the sea, saying, I travail not, nor bring forth children, neither do I nourish up young men, {nor} bring up virgins.
Behold, the Lord will cast her out, and he will smite her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire.
Because the LORD hath spoiled Babylon, and destroyed out of her the great voice; when her waves do roar like great waters, a noise of their voice is uttered:
What thing shall I take to witness for thee? what thing shall I liken to thee, O daughter of Jerusalem? what shall I equal to thee, that I may comfort thee, O virgin daughter of Zion? for thy breach {is} great like the sea: who can heal thee?
