For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
Thus saith the LORD, In this thou shalt know that I {am} the LORD: behold, I will smite with the rod that {is} in mine hand upon the waters which {are} in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.
And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.

And shewedst signs and wonders upon Pharaoh, and on all his servants, and on all the people of his land: for thou knewest that they dealt proudly against them. So didst thou get thee a name, as {it is} this day.
And he hardened Pharaoh's heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.
And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.

The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go.
And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I {am} against thee, O Zidon; and I will be glorified in the midst of thee: and they shall know that I {am} the LORD, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her.

Then Moses said unto Aaron, This {is it} that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.
And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand.
And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and ye shall know that I {am} the LORD.
And the Egyptians shall know that I {am} the LORD, when I have gotten me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.
Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know that my name {is} The LORD. {The LORD: or, JEHOVAH}
I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I {am} the LORD.
And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.
I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD. {after...: or, in the way} {and have...: Heb. with the captivity of your horses}
