Therefore it shall be, when the LORD thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee {for} an inheritance to possess it, {that} thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget {it}.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this {for} a memorial in a book, and rehearse {it} in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.
Let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under heaven: and I will make of thee a nation mightier and greater than they.
And he gathered an host, and smote the Amalekites, and delivered Israel out of the hands of them that spoiled them. {gathered...: or, wrought mightily}

So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified.
And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire;
And they smote the rest of the Amalekites that were escaped, and dwelt there unto this day.
So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran unto the tent; and, behold, {it was} hid in his tent, and the silver under it.
Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, {but} turned {their} backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you.

And it came to pass a long time after that the LORD had given rest unto Israel from all their enemies round about, that Joshua waxed old {and} stricken in age. {stricken...: Heb. come into days}
And ye shall compass the city, all {ye} men of war, {and} go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days.
After these things did king Ahasuerus promote Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes that {were} with him.
Samuel also said unto Saul, The LORD sent me to anoint thee {to be} king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the LORD.
Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin-; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.

Notwithstanding no devoted thing, that a man shall devote unto the LORD of all that he hath, {both} of man and beast, and of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing {is} most holy unto the LORD.
Persecute and destroy them in anger from under the heavens of the LORD.
The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.
And the LORD said not that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven: but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.
And all the king's servants, that {were} in the king's gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did {him} reverence.
Let his posterity be cut off; {and} in the generation following let their name be blotted out.
For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. {Jesus: that is, Joshua}
So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD said unto Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance unto Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war.
