Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.

And said unto the king, Let the king live for ever: why should not my countenance be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers' sepulchres, {lieth} waste, and the gates thereof are consumed with fire?

{Now} the queen, by reason of the words of the king and his lords, came into the banquet house: {and} the queen spake and said, O king, live for ever: let not thy thoughts trouble thee, nor let thy countenance be changed:

They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.

How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall {shall ye be, and as} a tottering fence.

And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.

And when he was called forth, Tertullus began to accuse {him}, saying, Seeing that by thee we enjoy great quietness, and that very worthy deeds are done unto this nation by thy providence,

Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.

They spake and said to the king Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live for ever.

Then Bathsheba bowed with {her} face to the earth, and did reverence to the king, and said, Let my lord king David live for ever.

Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes, the governors, and the captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
