Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.
And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, {principles...: or, word of the beginning of}
And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.

But grow in grace, and {in} the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him {be} glory both now and for ever. Amen.

And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them.
Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. {aloud: Heb. with the throat}
A wise {man} will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into {his} lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and {out of} the prophets, from morning till evening.
If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or {whether} I speak of myself.
Give {instruction} to a wise {man}, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just {man}, and he will increase in learning.
For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.
And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.

Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.
The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.
And I persecuted this way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women.
And Paul {after this} tarried {there} yet a good while, and then took his leave of the brethren, and sailed thence into Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila; having shorn {his} head in Cenchrea: for he had a vow.
The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.
And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. {pernicious ways: or, lascivious ways, as some copies read}
And the same time there arose no small stir about that way.
