And it came to pass at {the time of} the offering of the {evening} sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou {art} God in Israel, and {that} I {am} thy servant, and {that} I have done all these things at thy word.
For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land shall hear {of it}, and shall environ us round, and cut off our name from the earth: and what wilt thou do unto thy great name?
For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.

And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and ye shall know that I {am} the LORD.
