If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;

When the heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; {yet} if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou dost afflict them; {toward...: or, in this place}
And {then} the LORD'S wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and {lest} ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you.
These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days' pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me.
And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again: he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening. {up: Heb. upon}
Or {if} I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast:
Else, if thou refuse to let my people go, behold, to morrow will I bring the locusts into thy coast:
That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpiller eaten. {That which the palmerworm...: Heb. The residue of the palmerworm}
But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land;
He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,
And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun.

A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein. {barrenness: Heb. saltiness}
I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of thee a greater nation and mightier than they.
Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye {even} to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:

And also I have withholden the rain from you, when {there were} yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.
And it shall be, {that} whoso will not come up of {all} the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
