And Ahitub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Ahimaaz,

And it came to pass from the time {that} he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.

Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth {month, even} from the day that the foundation of the LORD'S temple was laid, consider {it}.

Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. {bountifulness: or, liberality: Gr. simplicity}

For the stuff they had was sufficient for all the work to make it, and too much.

Upon the first {day} of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as {God} hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

O generation, see ye the word of the LORD. Have I been a wilderness unto Israel? a land of darkness? wherefore say my people, We are lords; we will come no more unto thee? {We are...: Heb. We have dominion}

O LORD our God, all this store that we have prepared to build thee an house for thine holy name {cometh} of thine hand, and {is} all thine own.

And Jehiel, and Azaziah, and Nahath, and Asahel, and Jerimoth, and Jozabad, and Eliel, and Ismachiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah, {were} overseers under the hand of Cononiah and Shimei his brother, at the commandment of Hezekiah the king, and Azariah the ruler of the house of God. {under...: Heb. at the hand}
