Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

And when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard {thereof}, he said, It {is} the man of God, who was disobedient unto the word of the LORD: therefore the LORD hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn him, and slain him, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake unto him. {torn: Heb. broken}

Who {is} a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

Follow peace with all {men}, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

{Seeing} then {that} all these things shall be dissolved, what manner {of persons} ought ye to be in {all} holy conversation and godliness,
But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself {rather} unto godliness.

The way of the wicked {is} an abomination unto the LORD: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.
Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: {so do}.
But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
See that none render evil for evil unto any {man}; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all {men}.
Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all {men}. {exhort: or, beseech} {unruly: or, disorderly}
And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.

But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

But in all {things} approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, {approving: Gr. commending}
And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this {is} an holy man of God, which passeth by us continually.
