Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, {let us prophesy} according to the proportion of faith;
Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.
For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
For God {is} not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which {was bestowed} upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom {his} lord shall make ruler over his household, to give {them their} portion of meat in due season?
For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;
And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. {pounds: mina, here translated a pound, is twelve ounces and an half: which according to five shillings the ounce is three pounds two shillings and sixpence}
But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.
And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.
We then, {as} workers together {with him}, beseech {you} also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you:
Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

But we will not boast of things without {our} measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you. {rule: or, line}
And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
For if there be first a willing mind, {it is} accepted according to that a man hath, {and} not according to that he hath not.
Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for {things to be made} of gold, and the silver for {things} of silver, and the brass for {things} of brass, the iron for {things} of iron, and wood for {things} of wood; onyx stones, and {stones} to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.
Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,
But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.
I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and {that} they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)
So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them {their} hire, beginning from the last unto the first.
And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the corn which they bought: and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh's house.

And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.
Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also. {grace: or, gift}
And not {that} only, but who was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and {declaration of} your ready mind: {grace: or, gift}
And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we {should go} unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.
For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus. {used...: or, ministered}
