And David prepared iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the gates, and for the joinings; and brass in abundance without weight;

As every man hath received the gift, {even so} minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

And whatsoever ye do, do {it} heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do {it} with thy might; for {there is} no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, {and} not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.

And the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper: {they were} inclosed in ouches of gold in their inclosings.

And they wrought onyx stones inclosed in ouches of gold, graven, as signets are graven, with the names of the children of Israel.

And the building of the wall of it was {of} jasper: and the city {was} pure gold, like unto clear glass.

And the fourth row a beryl, and an onyx, and a jasper: they shall be set in gold in their inclosings. {inclosings: Heb. fillings}

It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.

Now, behold, in my trouble I have prepared for the house of the LORD an hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver; and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I prepared; and thou mayest add thereto. {trouble: or, poverty}

For all {they} did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, {even} all her living.

The desire of a man {is} his kindness: and a poor man {is} better than a liar.

Then the king sent and gathered together all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem.

So took the priests and the Levites the weight of the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, to bring {them} to Jerusalem unto the house of our God.

And of the Levites, Ahijah {was} over the treasures of the house of God, and over the treasures of the dedicated things. {dedicated...: Heb. holy things}

Which Shelomith and his brethren {were} over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the chief fathers, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the host, had dedicated.

And he garnished the house with precious stones for beauty: and the gold {was} gold of Parvaim. {garnished: Heb. covered}
